Heartsaver CPR in Schools® Course

Teach teens lessons in saving lives with the Heartsaver CPR in Schools course -- a credentialed course that helps middle- and high-school students build skills for giving adult and pediatric CPR in emergency situations.

Age Group

    Adult CPR - about 8 years and above (child about 55 pounds).

    Child CPR - about 1 year to about 8 years.

    Infant CPR - Birth to about 1 year.


Class duration: approx. 4 hrs.

Course Includes:

1. Instruction on how to give CPR to an adult, child and/or infant.
2. Review the signs of choking and how to help the victim.
3. When to call 911.
4. Mouth-to-Mouth Breaths
5. Review CPR Barrier differences, use and why they are necessary.

Demonstrate the following skills on a manikin:

    One-rescuer CPR

    Recovery position

    Foreign body airway obstruction management for infants.

5. All students receive hands-on instruction and practice.
